Climate impact
At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide. Our hard-working sustainability team collects all the information to calculate a value: the so-called CO2 equivalents. We are now passing this information on to you so that you can make informed purchasing decisions and keep an eye on your personal carbon footprint. We also use these valuable findings ourselves, to try to make our supply chains even smarter in the future and monitor our CO2 footprint.
CO₂ emissions by product
To make the work of our sustainability team easier, we have teamed up with the company Cozero. They support us with their decarbonisation software to calculate the CO2 emissions of our products. Our products go through a lot before they make their way into your pantry or snack bowl, so there is a lot to take into consideration: production, packaging, and logistics – to name just the big steps.

Two to three Medjool dates a day is a good guideline – depending on how they fit into your diet. They are sweet and versatile, whether eaten plain, stuffed or in muesli. As always, the motto is: enjoy in moderation.
With their caramel-sweet and creamy-soft texture, Medjool dates are the fanciest version We offer this delicious dried fruit in a practical 1 kg value pack so that you can enjoy this royal snack for as long as possible!
‘Dates’ is the generic term for many varieties – Medjool is one of them. Compared to other varieties such as Deglet Nour, Medjool dates are larger, softer, juicier and have a particularly caramel-like aroma. They are considered the premium variety among dates.
The Medjool date is considered the ‘queen of dates’ – and that's no coincidence. Cultivating, caring for and harvesting this variety is significantly more labour-intensive, which is why they are more expensive than Deglet Nour, for example. They require more time and more manual labour – but they also deliver more flavour!
It is best to store Medjool dates in a cool, dry place. If you haven't eaten them all within a few days, you should store them in the fridge. This will ensure they stay fresh for as long as possible and remain fresh for up to 24 months after harvesting.
Note: If you have stored your dates for a long time, fructose may accumulate on the outside of the fruit. You can recognise this by light-coloured spots. However, the dates are still fresh and can be eaten.
100 g of our Medjool dates contain 304 kcal. You can also find the exact nutritional values in the product description and on the packaging.
