If you're wondering what it's all about and also want to dust off a great recipe, you've come to the right place. Good, because a smoothie bowl is basically a smoothie to spoon up. Your favorite ingredients are pureed in the most powerful blender possible. However, they are then not poured into a cup, but into a bowl and garnished with various toppings. If it is too runny, it will be difficult to spoon. For this reason, bananas are often used as a base, giving the dessert a creamy consistency after blending. Other suitable binding agents for various smoothie bowls can be chia seeds, oat flakes or a little flour (e.g. coconut flour).
