Are the roasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds good for weight loss?

Weight loss goals are achieved primarily through a calorie deficit and sufficient exercise. Unfortunately, our tasty snack is not a diet miracle cure. Nevertheless, it scores with a high fiber content (8.5 g/100 g) and 18 g of protein per 100 g. Whether you ultimately lose weight with the snack depends on what you eat throughout the day and whether you are in a calorie deficit. However, as we all know, food is for enjoyment and a few roasted sunflower or pumpkin seeds with honey and cinnamon are a very delicious treat.

Pumpkin seeds probably still know each:r from pumpkin carving. Of course, you can free the seeds from the pulp, dry them, roast them and coat them with honey and cinnamon. But the procedure (started with the pumpkin cutting) is associated with a lot of effort, so we have done it for you. Because pumpkin seeds weren't enough for us, we went one better and added delicious sunflower seeds to the mix and coated them as well. What that resulted in? An incredibly delicious honey cinnamon flavored seed mixture that you have to try!

Does the mixture of sunflower and pumpkin seeds contain gluten?

Pumpkin and sunflower seeds are naturally gluten-free. However, cross-contamination with gluten may occur during the filling process, as our filler also processes foods containing gluten. For this reason, we do not title our seed mix as gluten-free.

Does the seed mix have a lot of protein?

With 18 g of protein per 100 g, the seeds are a great source of protein.

Is the snack vegan?

No. Since the mixture contains honey, it is not vegan. If you are looking for a vegan snack, check out our roasted corn kernels with salt or roasted and salted edamame beans.

How do I store the sunflower and pumpkin seed mixture?

It is best to store the mix in a cool, dark place away from light. Once opened, it is recommended to store the mix in an airtight jar, such as our Ball Mason Jars.
