Sugar alternative straight from palm trees!

We only choose the best-quality Deglet Nour dates for our date sugar. Characterised by their being as sweet as honey and as intense in taste as caramel, these beautiful-looking dates grow on Tropical date palms. Once harvested and dried, our golden-brown fruits are ground into a fine powder: the result is a sweetener a bit weaker than traditional sugar, but very sweet nonetheless – for a similar outcome, just use a bit more date sugar. Thanks to its unique fruity note, our date sugar will spice up your creations and give them a subtly exotic touch!

What do I use date sugar for?

In most cases, you can use date sugar wherever you would normally use conventional sugar. Due to its low water solubility, date sugar is not ideal for teas and coffees, but is all the better for baking and sweetening desserts.

Is date sugar vegan?

Yes, we get only 100% ground dates in the bag! This makes the product purely vegetable. Thus, the date sugar is ideally suited for many vegan creations such as baked goods, smoothies or desserts.

Where do the dates used come from?

For the date sugar we use only dates of the variety Deglet Nour. We obtain the sweet fruits from Tunisia and the UAE, where they grow under controlled organic conditions on the real date palm.

How many calories have date sugar?

Our date sugar contains 353 kcal per 100 g, which is slightly less calories than the usual refined sugar. In addition, since the whole fruits are used to produce the date sugar, it is much more nutritious.

How do I store date sugar?

The date sugar is best stored in a cool and dry place. To avoid any contamination of the powder, we also recommend using airtight packaging. Our Ball Maison Jars are ideal for this purpose! Under these optimal conditions, the shelf life of the date sugar can be up to 18 months.
