Yes, the oat cookies really do not contain refined sugar. They get their pleasant sweetness from the chocolate drops, which are sweetened with maltitol. Maltitol is a sugar substitute that gives baked goods a pleasant sweet note. Maltitol-sweetened foods taste significantly less sweet than foods with conventional table sugar and contain comparatively fewer calories. The cookies are okay. They don't taste outstanding and their nutritional values are no healthier than conventional cookies. Only the ingredients are better.
