Are the oatmeal cookies really sugar free?

Yes, the oat cookies really do not contain refined sugar. They get their pleasant sweetness from the chocolate drops, which are sweetened with maltitol. Maltitol is a sugar substitute that gives baked goods a pleasant sweet note. Maltitol-sweetened foods taste significantly less sweet than foods with conventional table sugar and contain comparatively fewer calories. In large quantities, sugar substitutes, including maltitol, can have a laxative effect. Therefore, we recommend that you do not eat all the cookies at once.
