Cashew butter: vegan alternative to cheese and whipped cream

In vegan cuisine, cashew butter is often used as a substitute for cream and cheese. You can also stir cashew butter into your grilled vegetable pan for a particularly creamy consistency and to round off the taste. Mix cashew butter with a little water for a quick, light pasta sauce that tastes wonderfully creamy. Mix with yeast flakes for a deceptively real substitute for cheese melt. And it's purely vegan!

Thanks to the seal, the contents can be vacuum-sealed, which significantly extends the shelf life of your treats. Especially with our nut butters, the wide preserving jar offers clear advantages in everyday life: you can stir the butter effortlessly, scoop it out easily and enjoy every last bit. Weighing between 120 and 350 grams (jar) and 10 to 20 grams (lid), the packaging is also very high-quality and sturdy.

Your jar is empty? Then please dispose of the lid and jar separately! The jar belongs in the glass recycling bin, whilst the lid goes in the metal bin. Both materials are highly recyclable. And the integrated plastic seal? Don’t worry, it accounts for less than 10% of the lid’s weight and is simply burned out during the recycling process. This means it doesn’t interfere with the metal recycling cycle and the tinplate can be recycled optimally.

What is the shelf life of cashew butter?

Nut musts keep fresh for a long time due to the high natural content of nut oil. Since we do not add any emulsifiers or stabilizers to our cashew butter, some oil may settle on the surface. You can simply stir this back in with a spoon - and then lick the spoon without a guilty conscience. Depending on how you like your cashew butter, you can store it either in the refrigerator or at room temperature. In the refrigerator the cashew butter gets a firmer consistency, at room temperature it remains liquid-creamy.

Why doesn't the glass pop when you open it?

Since our nut milks are not heated during filling, there is no vacuum and therefore they do not pop when opened. This has nothing to do with quality defects.
