Cashew butter: vegan alternative to cheese and whipped cream

In vegan cuisine, cashew butter is often used as a substitute for cream and cheese. You can also stir cashew butter into your grilled vegetable pan for a particularly creamy consistency and to round off the taste. Mix cashew butter with a little water for a quick, light pasta sauce that tastes wonderfully creamy. Mix with yeast flakes for a deceptively real substitute for cheese melt. And it's purely vegan!

Nut musts keep fresh for a long time due to the high natural content of nut oil. Since we do not add any emulsifiers or stabilizers to our cashew butter, some oil may settle on the surface. You can simply stir this back in with a spoon - and then lick the spoon without a guilty conscience. Depending on how you like your cashew butter, you can store it either in the refrigerator or at room temperature. In the refrigerator the cashew butter gets a firmer consistency, at room temperature it remains liquid-creamy.
Since our nut milks are not heated during filling, there is no vacuum and therefore they do not pop when opened. This has nothing to do with quality defects.
Cashews are seeds of the cashew apple and grow on the cashew tree.

Great taste – poor texture

I’ve always enjoyed buying Koro’s cashew butter, but unfortunately, for a while now, it hasn’t been suitable for my purposes at all. I use it as a creamy, liquid ingredient in sauces, soups, and on my morning porridge. These days, it’s only suitable as a spread, and I just can’t use it that way. "Natural variations" are all well and good, but it used to work just fine before, didn't it?!

It still tastes great, but I have no use for this thick, hard-to-spread paste.

Unfortunately, the lid was barely on. The cashew butter is rock-hard; I can barely get a knife into it. Plus, it smells rancid. Sadly, it’s going in the trash. It’s not just a waste of money, but also of resources.

Extremely firm texture

It used to be the best cashew butter, but for the past few months it’s been nothing but solid—and no, the oil hasn’t separated. It’s gone really bad, which is why I won’t be buying it anymore. We’ve had jars from several batches now, and they’ve all been like this. It’s no longer usable or edible for us. We’re looking for alternatives.
It’s a shame that this criticism isn’t being addressed here, since something must have changed some time ago.
