Cashew butter: vegan alternative to cheese and whipped cream

In vegan cuisine, cashew butter is often used as a substitute for cream and cheese. You can also stir cashew butter into your grilled vegetable pan for a particularly creamy consistency and to round off the taste. Mix cashew butter with a little water for a quick, light pasta sauce that tastes wonderfully creamy. Mix with yeast flakes for a deceptively real substitute for cheese melt. And it's purely vegan!

Nut musts keep fresh for a long time due to the high natural content of nut oil. Since we do not add any emulsifiers or stabilizers to our cashew butter, some oil may settle on the surface. You can simply stir this back in with a spoon - and then lick the spoon without a guilty conscience. Depending on how you like your cashew butter, you can store it either in the refrigerator or at room temperature. In the refrigerator the cashew butter gets a firmer consistency, at room temperature it remains liquid-creamy.
Since our nut milks are not heated during filling, there is no vacuum and therefore they do not pop when opened. This has nothing to do with quality defects.
Cashews are seeds of the cashew apple and grow on the cashew tree.
