White or brown almond butter?

Some might say that we have definitely gone too far with our gigantic 5 kg almond butter bucket. We think that it was a necessary addition to our selection! What else can a real almond lover snack on all day? If 5 kg is too much for you we also have our 500 g jars of brown almond butter and its delicious partner white almond butter. Big question: what is the difference? Its simple: our creamy white almond butter is made from peeled almonds. For our brown almond butter, unpeeled almonds are used. In addition, the kernels are lightly roasted when making brown almond butter, while white almond butter is made from blanched almonds. This gives the brown version a strong almond flavour.

Our nut butter is a great spread for toast, but it can also do a LOT more! No matter whether its warm or cold dishes, sweet or savoury — brown almond butter works in every dish and is great to refine vegan recipes. It is also a great addition for sauces and dips. Where does the brown almond paste come from?

Our almonds come from the USA (California), Australia, Chile, Italy, Portugal, Pakistan, Spain and Afghanistan. Finally, they are milled in Germany.

What is the difference between dark and light almond paste?

The difference is that in the brown almond paste the almond kernels are processed with skin. They are lightly roasted before the Vermusen and are not blanched.

Is almond paste healthy?

Healthy is above all a balanced and wholesome diet. Brown almond paste can contribute to a healthy diet as a source of protein. Proteins contribute to the maintenance of muscle mass and normal bones.

How do I store almond paste after opening?

Almond paste should be stored in the refrigerator after opening. It is quite possible that after a while some oil will settle on the surface of the puree. But this is completely normal, just stir vigorously and enjoy as usual!

Does brown almond paste contain gluten?

Almonds are naturally gluten-free. However, since our almond paste is not specifically certified as gluten-free, we prefer to omit this description.
