Tradition rivisited

The vegan and vegetarian cuisines, in particular, have developed a unique relationship with these round and crunchy legumes; and their high protein content has made vegan athletes fall in love with them too. But chickpeas have been the star of Oriental recipes for thousands of years! A traditional snack is roasted chickpeas, called Leblebi.When we found out, we thought, we need them in our shop! So, let us introduce you to our newcomers.

If you are as huge a fan of chickpeas as us, then you should definitely try all the three different flavours:

They were all roasted and then refined with different spices. As always, we deliberately avoid adding sugar and artificial colours or preservatives. Our original variety: Roasted and salted chickpeas therefore consists of just three ingredients. Our roasted chickpeas are a protein-rich snack for in-between meals or a crunchy topping for salads, bowls or soups. Try our new snack favourite - but be warned: beware of addiction! Hello, the chickpeas are unfortunately inedible. They taste as if they are very very old. The expiration date is far from over. Unfortunately, I had to throw them away. Very sad, I thought the idea of chickpeas as a salty snack was not bad.

The chickpeas with BBQ sauce taste really good, but unfortunately they are a little too hard for my taste. When I make them myself in the HLF (which I rarely have time for, unfortunately), they are nice and crispy but not hard. Maybe you could change something small when roasting them.
