At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide. Our hard-working sustainability team collects all the information to calculate a value: the so-called CO2 equivalents. Gesund ist in erster Linie eine ausgewogene, vollwertige Ernährung. Durch die Anwendung der besonders schonenden Gefriertrocknung bleiben Nährstoffe im Vergleich zu anderen Trocknungsverfahren allerdings in großen Mengen erhalten. Außerdem setzen wir unseren gefriergetrockneten Mangostücken keinen zusätzlichen Zucker zu, da sie von Natur aus Zucker enthalten und süß genug sind. Die Früchte werden zunächst in einer sogenannten Gefriertrocknungsmaschine eingefroren. Anschließend wird ihnen mithilfe eines Vakuums ein großer Anteil Wasser entzogen. Durch den geringen Wasseranteil, der den Früchten bleibt, sind sie besonders lange haltbar. Die Gefriertrocknung ist außerdem eine besonders schonende Konservierungsmethode, bei der Farbe, Form und Geschmack beinahe vollständig erhalten bleiben. Das Ergebnis sind unsere leckeren gefriergetrockneten Mangostücke, die in unserem Onlineshop bereits darauf warten, von Dir gesnackt zu werden!
Durch die Gefriertrocknung werden die frischen Früchte haltbar gemacht, behalten jedoch den Großteil ihres Aromas und ihrer Farbe. So kannst Du gefriergetrocknete Früchte trotz saisonalen Anbaus das ganze Jahr über genießen. Gefriergetrocknetes Obst ist demnach umweltfreundlicher, da nur noch saisonal angebaut werden muss und weniger Gewächs- und Treibhäuser bewirtschaftet werden müssen.
Am besten lagerst Du die gefriergetrocknete Mango an einem kühlen, trockenen, von Licht geschützten Ort. Gefriergetrocknete Früchte sollten luftdicht verpackt gelagert werden – streich beim Verschließen am besten die Luft aus dem wiederverschließbaren Beutel, in dem sie geliefert werden. Unter optimalen Bedingungen und ungeöffnet halten sie sich ab dem Produktionszeitpunkt mindestens 12 Monate.
