Accepted Answer

Organic coconut flour often has a higher price than conventional flour. This is due to the longer distances that the coconuts have to travel and the smaller cultivation area of coconuts. However, baking does not require as much organic coconut flour as is often indicated.

You can integrate coconut flour very well as a flour alternative in your recipes. It is similar in production to almond flour or flaxseed flour, which is why these two are the easiest to replace. Wheat flour, on the other hand, is a bit different: In general, you should keep in mind that coconut flour is extremely absorbent, so you will need more liquid in any case. We therefore recommend replacing only ⅕ to ¼ of your cereal flour with coconut flour. Or you can use recipes that are specially made for coconut flour. Coconut flour is actually a by-product of coconut oil production. For this purpose, the fresh fruit flesh is dried, de-oiled by pressing and what remains (the so-called press cake) is then ground into flour. This makes it particularly natural!
