Did you know that botanically, cashews are not really nuts at all? The cashew fruit contains kernels, which are known to us as cashews. During harvesting, the cashew apple is removed from the stem of the plant and the kernel is freed from the shell. Our cashews remain completely natural and are then kettle-fired with sugar and a pinch of salt until a delicious crunchy caramel glaze forms.

To caramelize cashews yourself, you don't need a complicated recipe. All you need are a few whole and untreated cashews and a little raw cane sugar. Simply caramelize the sugar in a pan over heat with a little water and toss the cashews in, stirring constantly. Alternatively, you can glaze the nuts in the oven or microwave. If you want to avoid refined sugar, you can also use alternatives such as honey or agave syrup. If the mess in the kitchen is too big for you, you can simply use our ready-made roasted cashews. They taste at least as good!
